WHAT TO EXPECT

Before

Do not go to a tanning salon or endure prolonged and unprotected sun exposure for at least 3 weeks before or after this treatment.
Do not use the following products on the treated area for 3 days before treatment: scrubs, exfoliation products, bleaching creams, retinols (Retin-A) or any similar vitamin A compounds or irritating agents.
Ensure you are well nourished and hydrated in the days leading up to and for your appointment. Healthy skin responds best to this treatment and will yield more favorable results!
Gentlemen: Shave the treatment area one day before your scheduled treatment, unless instructed otherwise.
Do not apply any creams, lotions, perfume or makeup etc. on the area to be treated, prior to treatment.
You are not a candidate for a chemical peel if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, on topical or oral antibiotics.
Avoid laser hair removal, electrolysis, waxing and the use of depilatory creams for 5-7 days prior to peel.
Avoid having the peel until skin has completely healed from any procedures, such as IPL, any lasers or microdermabrasion.

Please come makeup-free if possible!

We will apply the peel in the appropriate amount of layers determined after the consultation.
During your consultation we will review the Peel consent form, a date and signature are required for treatment

During

There may be activity felt on the skin as a warming and/or tingle sensation. While each person experiences different skin sensitivities, our chemical peel collection should never hurt or burn.
Your esthetician will be sure to check in and keep you comfortable throughout your treatment!

After

Skin peeling is not the goal, it is a side effect that may happen within 7 days of your treatment.
Be sure to follow the at-home skincare regimen as directed by your provider to ensure best results! Please do not return to your regular regimen until 5-7 days after the procedure.
Refrain from exercise or excessive heat exposure for a few days after your treatment.
Avoid direct sun exposure and excessive heat for at least 7 days (this prevents hyperpigmentation).
Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 30.
Please refrain from applying anything to the skin for 5 hours after treatment.
Skin may appear red, sensitive, and flaky as it heals and regenerates. Over the next few days, the old, damaged skin may gradually peel away, revealing smoother, brighter, and more even-toned skin underneath.
Do not pick the skin. Keep it clean, cool and calm!
